We had a full house and a great speaker in John Martin. Also present were Steve King, Randy Baumgardner, Tom Jankovsky and Sheriff Lou Vallario. John Martin is the most interesting speaker in the county. He filled us in on the new West Parachute Exit that is finally approved by CDOT and the fact that once that is done the East exit will be redone as well. The county has purchased the old Battlement Mesa Fire Station for a Sheriff's Annex and a place to store county road equipment. Additional information was given by the other quests as well. An announcement that there will be a Meet and Greet, July 21,2010 at the New Fire House for Sheriff Vallario from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Your attendance is welcome and encouraged. See you all next month.
